Let's Talk Edges
Have a baby they said. It will be fun they said.
What they didn’t tell you is little man or sis would snatch those edges right on out lol. Rude right?!
Along with some of the other unflattering and not so fun changes your body makes when having a baby and after, is postpartum hair loss.
So let’s get started…
In a nutshell postpartum hair loss occurs for new moms due to the vast increase in estrogen levels. The part that I find most rude is how beautiful and full your hair looks during pregnancy and then you transition to postpartum hair looking ragged and thin.
Luckily for some they never experience this hair loss and I thought I had escaped it up until my routine braider told me my edges had thinned. I have a lot of hair and thin edges don’t quite match my fullness.
So I took measures into my own hands and began to really tap in to the health of my hair. I partnered with the ladies over at Edge Naturale and used their follicle enhancer to combat my thinning edges. The follicle enhancer which strives to revive edges safely and quickly is cruelty-free, gluten-free, and made in the USA. The natural ingredients and mint scent made it an easy decision for me as I didn’t want anything too harsh just to stimulate growth.
As instructed I applied a small amount once or twice daily, I opted for once and applied it every night for 30 days. The peppermint scent is pleasant and not overbearing and I could immediately feel it working its way through my hair.
Here are my results:
Along with this approach I also stopped wearing as many tight ponytails and when I chose to get protective styles I made sure not to get anything that tugged too much on my poor poor edges. I definitely recommend you try this product out if you’re looking for an edge regrowth product that actually works, is safe and is environmentally friendly.
