Prepping not Stressing

So it’s NOVEMBER which means the holidays are here!

Hallmark has already cranked up the Christmas movies, the Christmas decor and music has begun popping up in all the stores and all things Thanksgiving are on the front of the grocery store.

For me the holiday season is jam packed!!! Between halloween and New Years, I have four important family members birthdays. My daughter, my husband, my dad and my mother-in-law.

So that means I need to be organized in thought and deed.

If you feel like me and know once November 1st hits, it’s basically happy New Years then you need this list too.

My secret weapon to staying calm and joyful during the holiday season is preparation! I begin planning months in advance for Kinsley’s birthday party to decor and family pajamas to Christmas shopping.

Here is my list of how I make it out alive:

  1. Start early

  2. Start cleaning now

  3. Organize my Black Friday must haves so I’m not shopping aimlessly and miss out on what I really want that day.

  4. Take holiday pics and send out in November or early December.

  5. Plan the menu for Thanksgiving and Christmas and start collecting the popular ingredients that will sell out.

  6. Restock Christmas wrapping supplies early if needed. My go to is www.blackpaperparty.com Use my code MILMOMMEL15 and get 15% off.

  7. Keep cleaning.

  8. Prep for house guests.

  9. Find time to unwind and relax.

  10. Make a donation list of who and what you want to donate this holiday season.

I hope this list brings some ease as we dive head first in to the BEST TIME OF THE YEAR!

Love ya, Mean it,

Nateanah
