Weekend Getaway to Palm Springs

Sometimes I forget how much I love California. I had forgotten about the beautiful views as you drive up the coast, famous gems like Disneyland, breathtaking mountainous views as you drive north and of course, the desert. In our day to day lives we come and go, get stuck in our daily routines, and do the same ole same ole. Well, the pandemic intensified that, and it was time to get some alone time with hubs.

For the quickest and easiest getaway, we went south to Palm Springs, CA. With year-round warm temperatures it’s the perfect cute and quick getaway from the busy city made even easier now that Southwest flies there direct. Within an hour we landed, and I instantly fell in love with the dry desert air and the undeniable energy of this little desert town. While the vibe of Palm Springs differs during these pandemic days, I could still feel the city’s heartbeat. From the landscape of being in the middle of a mountain to the iconic California palm trees, the chill vibe and endless sun-rays won my heart.

WHERE WE STAYED

We stayed at the Saguaro Hotel and it matched the energy I felt off the plane completely. From the vibrant colors of the hotel grounds to its 70’s edge, this was a fun place to stay. The hotel grounds are draped in colors, every room has a pool view and it has one of the city’s best pool parties. We went during Covid times so we enjoyed music by the pool instead of the live DJ thats bound to be there in normal time.s This is where you want to stay if you’re looking for vibes! The DJ is always playing!

WHERE WE ATE

Wilma & Frieda: excellent brunch spot serving comfort food with a twist. I enjoyed the quirky menu and they had great service!

The Pink Cabana: This place gave me rich auntie Instagram worthy vibes in every corner. We went with friends, but I would definitely recommend for a girls date, birthday or bachelorette.

SHOPPING 

During the week we took our talents to the Desert Hills Premium Outlets. They have everything from everyday household brands to high end.

All in all our trip was much needed time away together. We did a lot of lounging mixed with a lot of eating lol. I keep saying it, but there was just a great energy there. This has easily become my new favorite quick getaway destination so look for more on Palm Springs from me :)

Where’s a quick getaway for you and your fam? Let’s talk about it.

Love ya, Mean it,
