Kinsley Lately x Literati
The last update I did Kinsley was 20 months. Since then she’s grown three inches, is now climbing out her crib and has a vast vocabulary. Standing by and seeing my ever-growing baby girl formulate sentences and thoughts I am truly amazed and attribute it to how conversational we are with her and our daily habit of reading.
Reading is fundamental, a saying used all too often, and in my house growing up it was taken quite literally. At an early age my parents taught me to read and by early I mean age 4. They had me reading any and everything. There was no teaching moment missed including trips to the ice cream parlor. I would have to read the flavors before I could get my scoop.
Because the importance of reading was instilled at an early age, I enjoyed it as a young child and looked forward to exploring different stories and adventures through literature. When pregnant I knew I wanted reading and books to be an intricate part of my unborn child’s life and childhood. It is the reason we asked everyone at our shower to bring a book and include a message to our daughter who would later read the story and enjoy a sweet message from the recipient.

Kinsley is super into animals right now so this month’s selection was spot on. She has loved pointing out her favorite animals in the touch and find book and exploring different adventures with the different animals featured. The books have kept her entertained and excited to turn the page to find out what’s next
