Cold Weather Cute Lips

OK y’all let’s talk lips.

Being raised and living in California, we don’t experience four seasons. But when I moved to the east coast for school and I experienced an actual Fall and Winter, I fell in love. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not a fan of cold weather, but I super enjoyed the transition into a temperature drop. Quickly all the Fall and Winter things became my favorite, like cozy nights with hubs, the pumpkin patch, even pre-Kinsley, and Fall tv is the absolute best. But beyond the activities is the fashion. Cold weather fashion, in my opinion is the best hands down. From the boots, to hats, and scarves ooo and a trench coats yes! But my favorite thing about the weather change is having fun with darker and different lip colors.

Now I don’t claim to be a makeup pro or even an intermediate student, as on a daily, even before quarantine, if any at all, I wear the bare minimum- mascara, a fun lip and maybe a light highlight. But somehow as the weather starts getting more brisk and the sweaters come out of the closet, I definitely start incorporating more neutrals and deep tones with the changing of the season. This may just be because I love cold weather fashion and the coziness of the season, but I love to play with lip colors during this time!

Switching up your lip is also a really easy and affordable way to make a slight change, and I’m all for the bougie on a budget look!

So without further ado here are my 5 favorite lippies right now:

DRAMA QUEEN

I love a good matte. Especially looking back to my days in the office, having a lip that would last through my morning meeting and not looked cracked. It’s the perfect Fall lip for really any occasion. Wear to the grocery store or out for a date night. Drama Queen does it for me.

BRICKHOUSE

Not quite a red this burnt orange lip is perfect for all the Fall sweaters and browns that come with the season.

M·A·C  SIN

An oldie but goodie, Sin is my transitional lip from Summer into Fall and Winter. It looks awesome with or without a liner and you can play with the color depending on which liner you use.

KNOW IT ALL

This is my go to lipstick right now. It’s the perfect matte color that goes with every occasion from a quick run to the store to a nice dinner out.

MAN EATER

Usually, I’m not a fan of a very nude lip, but this shade wins every time for me.  I mean it goes with every outfit and every color with or without a gloss on top.
